Product Description

• Golden Hoof is now licenced to contain zinc hexahydrate, the best and most efficient zinc preparation with considerably improved zinc content.
• Lethal to footrot bacteria, Golden Hoof penetrates ovine hoof horn more readily than other anti-bacteria agents.
• Unlike formaldehyde preparations which kill living tissue and cause hardening and subsequent cracking, zinc sulphate is a healing agent promoting the growth of new healthy tissue.
• Golden Hoof Plus contains the original zinc sulphate preparation which which has been enhanced by the addition of a surfactant to increase penetration into the hoof and an activating agent to give easier mixing.    
• It is a safe material to use.
• It does not produce unpleasant fumes which can irritate both sheep and handlers so can can be used in enclosed spaces.
• It is a painless treatment which, in combination with lack of fumes, makes possible the opportunity to stand infected animals for long periods (if required) in solution with out discomfort.
• Ewes and young lambs can be treated together without separation.
• The solution has a low toxicity and at 10% dilution is unpalatable to sheep.
• Splashing on the fleece with Golden Hoof has negligible effects on subsequent wool processing.
• The material does not break down chemically after prolonged storage nor at extreme temperatures.
• Easier to mix.
• Highly penetrative.
• Does not cake in the bag or bucket.    
• The antibacterial action of Golden Hoof in footbaths is not materially affected by contamination with urine or faeces and solutions of Golden Hoof are reusable.

Click & Collect

A free of charge Click & Collect service is readily available in all of our stores. This means you now have the option of placing an order online to pick up at your chosen store. When you have selected the item(s) you wish to Click & Collect, add them to your basket and follow the instructions to proceed to the checkout. On the delivery options page you can then select which of our stores you wish to collect your order from. We aim for your order to be ready to collect for your chosen collection date/time, if stock is available at your chosen store. You will receive an email when your order is ready to be collected and you will have 7 days to collect your order once it is ready. Payment for Click & Collect orders will be taken at the tills in your local store upon collection. Mole Avon account holders will be able to receive their discount and book the order to their account if required. Delivery

Delivery is available on any qualifying products available on our website. The product must be available from our Crediton store to be valid for delivery. Standard delivery (3 to 5 working days) under 20kg is £6.49. Next Day delivery (1 to 2 working days) under 20kg is £7.49 We currently use DPD for our deliveries. Returns

If you wish to return an item that you ordered with online via Click & Collect, please take the item(s) to your local store along with your order confirmation. If you wish to return or exchange an item that you ordered online via Delivery, please go to www.moleavon.co.uk/returns. Please fill out the returns form and email to web@moleavon.co.uk. Please also post your item(s) back to Online Returns, Mole Avon Country Stores, Joseph Locke Way, Crediton, EX17 3FD. Once we have received your item(s), we will process a refund. In order to receive a refund or exchange you must: Provide proof of purchase for the item(s) being returned. Return the item(s) within 28 days of being purchased. Return the item(s) in a resellable condition with its original packaging unless faulty.

Local Delivery

Local FREE deliveries are available to anyone within a 20 mile radius of our Country Stores upon request (FREE for a minimum order of £250 or over), deliveries under £250 will be charged at a standard rate of £25. Deliveries are kerbside and at the drivers discretion. Any deliveries requiring more than one person will incur additional fees. We currently use James Moore Haulage for our local deliveries.
